KDM Group operates a bespoke manufacturing plant complete with a custom-built spray booth and state-of-the-art machinery to deliver client-specific furniture and fixtures to the highest standard. We specialise in all types of timber manufacturing, lamination and solid surface fabrication.

With over 20 years of experience, our highly skilled tradesmen can manufacture specific products for any type of client using materials from sustainable sources. These products range from general components such as doors, frames, washroom solutions, wall cladding and wall unitary – however, our skills are not limited to these. We have worked with some of the biggest companies in retail and have been fortunate enough to help redesign and modernise a wide range of solutions across the UK for several blue-chip clients.

Manufacturing Services provided by KDM

As one of the most experienced and well-resourced contractors in the UK, we provide a manufacturing service to complement our fit-out capability.

KDM supplies an extensive range of door types, which are a leading alternative to Leaderflush Door Sets, including solid timber door sets complete with tailored ironmongery solutions. All doors are manufactured at our in-house manufacturing facility in Dalgety Bay and can be distributed internationally by our own in-house logistics team.

Bespoke and volume doors can be designed, manufactured, delivered, and installed by KDM within a competitive lead time and cost to suit our client’s requirements. Our expertise and competence have enabled us to develop some key accounts with some of the UK’s largest retailers for the delivery of complete internal and external door solutions for their national and international projects.

In addition, KDM has also developed an online portal for one of the UK’s largest retailers allowing Tesco and its Project Delivery Team the opportunity to maximise quality, reduce timescales and increase visibility. This has been achieved by the portal linking with the client’s door and ironmongery design standard and allowing site management/procurement and commercial teams the capability to order the door requirements online. This in turn reduced the lead time to the site for any store located in the UK and mainland Europe to 3 weeks.

KDM also pride itself on our ability to take your concepts and develop a cost-effective solution through our design team using our first-hand knowledge and tapping into our supply chain and key partners’ expertise. This enables us to offer innovative door solutions as well as other products that can maximise durability and retain an aesthetic appeal whilst remaining good value for money.

KDM has been designing, manufacturing, and installing a variety of washroom and cubicle solutions since we were established in 1999. We have a strategic partnership with Tesco Stores Limited to roll out their refresh and new store programs to deliver their design standard solutions for washroom areas throughout their stores in the UK and Ireland and have done so for more than a decade.

KDM has also established a broad portfolio of experience in manufacturing & delivering cubicle and washroom solutions to end clients in various sectors including but not limited to retail, hospitality, commercial, leisure and residential sectors as well as independent clients who require an individual bespoke solutions for their washroom areas.

Since the inception of our design team and our bespoke manufacturing plant in Dalgety Bay, we have used these services and facilities to develop new concepts for clients using innovative materials through partners such as Novograf, who supplies KDM with synthetic wall covering which can replicate the look of timber and brickwork amongst other traditional products. The benefit of this solution is that it is hygienic and a cost-effective method of getting the desired aesthetics and feel to what can sometimes be an austere area within your business. When applied in the washroom area this approach can create new and exciting design solutions that can make a functional area of your business different from your competitors.

KDM work closely with our clients to understand their manufacturing requirements including wall cladding and other wall systems. Using our in-house facility and experienced team, who will work in coordination with our site teams we aim to deliver a seamless and coordinated product and service our clients will be proud to own.
