Construction Contracts Manager

£70,000 - £75,000

KDM Group, a leading General Contractor and fit out contractor, is currently looking to recruit an experienced Construction Contracts Manager who has ambition and initiative to drive change in a fast-moving construction company. The successful candidate will manage all aspects of construction projects, from preconstruction through to project completion.

The role ensures compliance with contract terms, manages risk, controls costs, and dispute while protecting the organisation’s commercial interests.

The suitable candidate can be based at any of our offices located at Leeds, Warrington, Bristol or Dalgety Bay but must be willing to travel to various sites throughout the UK.

Key Responsibilities

  • Meeting with clients to find out their requirements.
  • Work closely with project managers, site managers and commercial team to ensure projects are delivered on time and to budget.
  • Support project planning and allocation of resource.
  • Ensure contracts comply with legal, regulatory, and company standards.
  • Support procurement processes.
  • Evaluate contractual risks, and commercial terms.
  • Monitor contract budgets and variations.
  • Assist commercial team with any orders and claims.
  • Identify contractual risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual risk provisions.
  • Assist with claims related to delays, variations, or breaches.
  • Liaise with clients, consultants and subcontractors.
  • Provide contractual advice to project managers and site teams.
  • Attend project and commercial meetings.

  • Ensure compliance with health & safety, environmental, and statutory requirements.

  • Assist with interpreting contract terms and advise project teams on contractual obligations.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Experience in pre-contracts, contract management, within construction.
  • Understanding of construction law and commercial management.
  • SMSTS & CSCS Black Card.
  • Experience of using Microsoft Projects and PowerPoint.
  • Contract negotiation.
  • Cost control and financial management knowledge.
  • Strong communication and negotiation abilities.

Project Manager - ROI

€90,000

KDM Group are currently looking to recruit a Project Manager to join our Operations Team. The successful candidate will work closely with the KDM Head of Operations, and will collaborate with Architects, Engineers, and Consultants from the pre-construction to post construction stages of the projects to deliver high quality schemes to our clients by managing staff and resources and assisting the commercial, procurement and production teams within the KDM Group.

The successful candidate would need to have robust IT skills, including extensive use of Microsoft Project, be an excellent communicator and ideally have a formal Project Management qualification. You will primarily be based at our Dublin office, but the role also requires travelling throughout Ireland for site visits and meetings, etc.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate a project from start to finish, including organising the schedule of work, costings and budget.
  • Plan the work and oversee the buying of necessary materials and equipment.
  • Manage staff, subcontractors and consultants for each project.
  • Oversee the construction site manager on a day-to-day basis and their duties including supervising the labour force, monitoring subcontractors, checking materials, inspecting work and overseeing quality control.
  • Ensure the project is delivered on time and on budget by setting benchmarks, agreeing budgets and monitoring progress.
  • Check design documents with architects, surveyors and engineers.
  • Promote and maintain health and safety, including site inspections to ensure safety rules are being followed.
  • Write reports including programmes of work.
  • Maintain regular communication and attend meetings with clients and their representatives to inform them of progress on the project, i.e. stakeholder management.
  • Communicate with any consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors and others involved in the project.
  • Deal with any unexpected problems that may occur during the project.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Possess an NVQ/SNVQ qualification in a Construction Management discipline or be willing to work towards this through the KDM Group continuous professional development plan.
  • Must hold a current Safe Pass Card.
  • Must hold a valid ROI driver’s licence.
  • Extensive knowledge of health and safety with IOSH training certificate.
  • Asbestos training would be advantageous.
  • Experience with overall management of multiple sites.
  • Well established and effective man management skills.
  • Extensive experience in budget management and project costs.
  • Experience working within food retail would be an advantage.
  • Extensive experience of precontract coordination.
  • Willingness to travel.

Operations Administrator – Belfast area

£26,436.80

KDM Group are currently looking for an organised, proactive Operations Administrator to provide essential administrative and operational support to ensure the smooth running of daily business activities. This role is central to supporting project teams, coordinating information, maintaining accurate records and helping streamline processes across the operations department. The ideal candidate will be detail-focused, confident using systems, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. This role would be based in the Belfast area.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting Operations Managers and Project Managers with administrative tasks related to timelines, subcontractor coordination and site documentation
  • Prepare and maintain operation and maintenance (O&M) manuals
  • Maintain operational reports, trackers and spreadsheets
  • Monitor progress updates and highlight potential delays or issues to the operations team.
  • Help maintain compliance records for audits, accreditations, health & safety, and quality management.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Previous experience in an administrative role, experience in Operations would be advantageous.
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritise, and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
