A few weeks ago, one of our soccer Centres experienced something truly special, the opportunity to meet the Scotland Women’s National Team (SWNT) and the incredible Caroline Weir at the Oriam Centre.
The day was filled with excitement, laughter, and unforgettable moments as the girls took part in a Q&A session with Caroline, enjoyed fun games, and a challenge of Poppy vs Caroline to see who could get the KDM vest on the fastest! ⚽
Meeting Their Idols
For many of the girls, this was a dream come true, the chance to meet their footballing heroes and spend time learning from one of Scotland’s most inspiring players. Caroline Weir, who proudly serves as an ambassador for the East Region Soccer Centres, shared her experiences, offered advice, and encouraged the next generation of players to chase their dreams both on and off the pitch.
Football & fun with friends
The session wasn’t just about football skills — it was about building confidence, teamwork, and creating memories that will last a lifetime. From “This or That” questions to quick-fire challenges, the atmosphere was filled with energy and laughter.
A Creative Twist
A special highlight of the day came from our talented videographer, whose creative idea added a unique touch by having the girls film their own point of view throughout the event. This allowed us to see the experience through their eyes. You can see the video here.
Supporting the Future of Girls’ Football
As proud sponsors of the Soccer Centres for primary school-aged girls, KDM Group is dedicated to supporting programmes that empower young athletes across Scotland. With 89 Soccer Centres now running throughout the country, these initiatives play a vital role in giving young girls the opportunity to develop their skills, build confidence, and be inspired by positive role models like Caroline Weir.

KDM Group was delighted to sponsor a special “Legends Edition” of the West Fife derby at Central Park, where former Cowdenbeath and Dunfermline favourites came together for a fundraising match in support of the Blue Brazil.
The day brought back iconic names, including Joe Cardle, Stevie Crawford, Darren and Derek Young, Andy Tod, and Ivo den Bieman. After an entertaining 4-4 draw, Cowdenbeath lifted the KDM Group Trophy following a penalty shoot-out.

We were proud to provide both teams with specially branded strips, training tops, hospitality, and, of course, the match trophy itself. Our CEO, Iain Jones, worked closely with event organisers Alex Haddow, Scott Thomson, John “Winker” Watson, and Eric Archibald to make the occasion possible.
The match attracted around 450–500 supporters and raised an impressive £4,000–£6,000 on the day, with signed strips set to be auctioned to help push the total towards £10,000.
For us at KDM Group, this event was about more than football. It was about bringing the community together and supporting a local club during challenging times. We were proud to play our part in what was a memorable day for fans, players, and the wider Fife football family.

We’re proud to share an exciting new chapter in our partnership with Scottish football: the unveiling of the KDM Evolution Trophy, launched on 17th July 2025, alongside the official fixture list for the competition’s brand-new league phase format.
At KDM Group, our commitment to grassroots and elite football alike is a cornerstone of our community values. So, it’s with great pride that we support this innovative competition, which promises to bring fresh energy and development opportunity to the Scottish game, especially for emerging young talent.
A Trophy for the Future
Designed by renowned silversmiths Thomas Lyte, creators of iconic trophies such as the Emirates FA Cup, Guinness Six Nations, and Ryder Cup, the KDM Evolution Trophy is more than silverware, it’s a symbol of progress. This trophy marks the beginning of a bold new era in Scottish football, one that prioritises player development, competition, and opportunity.
We were honoured to work with the SPFL in crafting a trophy that reflects the ambition and evolution of this reimagined tournament. You can see the new trophy in all it’s glory here.

Supporting Growth at Every Level
The KDM Evolution Trophy will feature 30 teams, comprising clubs from William Hill League 1, League 2, and B-teams from the William Hill Premiership, competing across six matchdays in a dynamic league phase. The top 22 clubs will then join the 10 William Hill Championship clubs in the knockout rounds, culminating in a showpiece final next spring.
With a £1.25 million prize pot, increased by over 50% from the previous year, this competition is not just about silverware, it’s about creating real, tangible support for clubs at all levels of the Scottish football pyramid. Teams who progress past the league phase are guaranteed at least £30,000, with £150,000 awaiting the champions.
Driving Youth Development
Crucially, the inclusion of Premiership B-teams aligns closely with the Scottish FA’s new Cooperation System, which aims to bridge the gap for players aged 16–21. This initiative resonates deeply as part of our long-standing commitment to youth football with our KDM Group Soccer Centres, which provide grassroots training for primary school-aged girls.
We believe in supporting young athletes during their most critical development years, and the KDM Evolution Trophy provides a vital platform for their transition from academy to senior football.
Looking Ahead
Our Group Chief Executive, Iain Jones, said: “It is an exciting moment to unveil the new KDM Evolution Trophy alongside the fixtures for the new league phase. The competition is embarking on a bold and innovative future, and we were delighted to collaborate with the SPFL on a new trophy design that represents this.
Our partnership with the KDM Evolution Trophy is an example of our support for Scottish football across all levels of the game. We cannot wait for the league phase matches to start and wish all the participating clubs every success as they strive to be the first to lift this new trophy come the final next Spring.”
Key Dates to Watch
We’re counting down the days until the first whistle blows. To all clubs and supporters, good luck, and let’s make this season one to remember.

Today, the SPFL announced our new multi-year deal as the new title sponsor of the KDM Evolution Trophy, previously known as the Challenge Cup. This trophy has a new competition format and a record-breaking prize pot.

The title partnership marks another milestone in KDM Group’s growing and significant support of Scottish football alongside our Soccer Centre partnership with the Scottish FA and stadium sponsorship of Dunfermline Athletic’s KDM Group East End Park.
The competition logo, also revealed today, features the illustration of the brand-new competition trophy which has been commissioned by the SPFL and KDM Group to celebrate this exciting new era for one of Scottish football’s best loved competitions. The final trophy will be unveiled this summer, in time for the tournament’s kick off.
An estimated £1.25 million in prize money will be shared with clubs for the 2025/26 KDM Evolution Trophy – an increase of more than 50% on this year’s competition.
Next season’s winners will receive £150,000, with increased prize money at every stage in the competition.
Competition format changes were confirmed earlier in the year alongside a new Scottish FA Cooperation System, which is designed to strengthen youth development in the Scottish game.
The changes to the KDM Evolution Trophy format were made following lengthy consultation with SPFL clubs and the launch of a Scottish FA Transition Phase report last year which sought to establish trends in successful player development from across the world, and those recommendations fed into discussions with clubs, the SPFL and Scottish FA.
You can learn more about the new format from the explainer video on the SPFL site.
Neil Doncaster, group chief executive of the SPFL, said: “We are really pleased to welcome KDM Group as the title sponsor for the KDM Evolution Trophy from season 2025/26, and to announce a significant rise in prize money for next season’s competition.
“KDM Group is a highly-respected and well-established firm in Scotland, the UK and beyond, and have already demonstrated a passion for Scottish football. They have a proud history of supporting our national sport and this long-term deal is really positive news for all 42 member clubs.
“We’re confident the new competition format will help develop some of our most promising players across the country. Allowing players to compete at a high level from the age of 15 will pay dividends for them, for their clubs and ultimately, for the national side.”
Doncaster added: “We’ve had long discussions with our member clubs and the Scottish FA about this new competition format and we’ve also introduced some key principles to reduce travel time and costs, particularly for William Hill League 1 and 2 clubs.
We would lastly like to thank the SPFL Trust and the donors who support them, who have been fantastic supporters of this competition for the last four seasons.”
Iain Jones, Chief Executive of KDM Group, said: "We’re incredibly proud to support the launch of this exciting new football competition and to see the KDM Evolution Trophy come to life. The name reflects the evolution of our business, from a small shopfitting company to a leading international brand. It mirrors the journey of this tournament and the aspiring players it supports. Our investment in football spans all levels of the game, from grassroots to the professional stage. Through our KDM Group Soccer Centres, we provide primary-aged schoolgirls access to the game whilst having fun, helping to grow the game from the ground up. We’ve previously been the official partner of the Scottish Cup and are proud sponsors of the Scotland Women’s National Team & Dunfermline Athletic FC.
This new tournament is another step forward, providing a platform for talent to grow and evolve, just as we have."

We are proud to announce that we have been awarded the prestigious FIRAS accreditation, marking a significant milestone in our ongoing commitment to fire protection. This achievement not only underscores our dedication to upholding the highest industry standards but also reassures our clients that they are receiving the best in fire protection services.

What is FIRAS Accreditation?
FIRAS (Fire Related Approved Scheme) is a third-party certification scheme for companies that install and maintain passive fire protection systems. It was introduced by Warrington Fire, one of the most trusted names in fire safety, and is a recognised mark of competence and quality. FIRAS accreditation demonstrates that a company has met the rigorous standards required to properly design, install, and maintain fire safety systems, including fire doors, fire-stopping, and fire-resisting walls and floors.
To achieve FIRAS accreditation, companies must undergo a thorough assessment process that involves audits of both their internal management systems and on-site work. Only organisations that consistently meet these high standards are awarded the certification.
Why FIRAS Accreditation Matters
Fire safety is not just a best practice, it’s a legal requirement. FIRAS accreditation ensures that all fire protection work we undertake complies with building regulations and fire safety laws. This gives our clients peace of mind, knowing that their projects meet all necessary legal standards and are fully compliant with the latest fire protection codes.
The FIRAS certification process requires all team members involved in fire protection installations to be trained and assessed for their competence. The accreditation also involves regular audits of live installations to ensure that the quality of the work remains consistently high.
Third-Party Endorsement
FIRAS is an impartial, third-party certification scheme, which means that our accreditation is a result of an objective assessment, not self-certification. This external validation highlights our commitment to fire protection installations and provides an extra layer of trust. Whether you’re working on a large-scale construction project or managing fire safety in a commercial building, you can be confident that our services will be delivered to the highest possible standard, minimising risk and ensuring long-term safety.
Our Commitment to Fire Safety
Achieving FIRAS accreditation is not the end of our journey but rather a step in our continuous commitment to fire safety. Our team has worked diligently to earn this recognition, and we will continue to invest in training, technology, and best practices to ensure that we maintain this standard of excellence in every project we undertake.
Whether it's installing fire doors, fire stopping, or passive fire-protection systems, our aim is to offer the most reliable, compliant, and effective fire safety solutions to our clients. The FIRAS accreditation is a testament to our hard work, but it’s also a guarantee to our clients that safety is at the forefront of everything we do.
If you’d like to learn more about our FIRAS-certified fire protection services or discuss your specific project needs, don’t hesitate to get in touch. Let’s work together to ensure safety is always the priority!
