The project was for an extension of the van storage facility, comprising resurfacing works, demolition/removal of existing Portacabins and the erection of a building for security guard and drivers' welfare facilities, provision of a cycle shelter, installation of drainage, external lighting and electrical infrastructure, erection of replacement boundary fencing and gates, soft landscaping, and other minor works. The van storage facility is required to enhance the efficiency of the existing distribution centre located adjacent to the site.
We delivered a coordinated programme of works to expand and enhance the existing van storage facility while maintaining operational continuity for the adjacent distribution centre.
Our approach focused on careful planning and phased delivery to minimise disruption to ongoing logistics activities. We undertook comprehensive site preparation and resurfacing to create a durable, efficient storage environment.
We managed the design coordination and construction of a new welfare and security building, ensuring it met the needs of both drivers and site personnel. Alongside this, we installed new drainage systems, external lighting, and electrical infrastructure to support safe and efficient site operations.
Perimeter security and accessibility were improved by installing new boundary fencing and gates, while additional features, such as a cycle shelter and soft landscaping, were incorporated to enhance usability and the overall site environment.
Throughout the project, we maintained a strong focus on health and safety, quality control, and programme management to ensure timely and efficient delivery
A high-quality, future-ready facility that supports increased operational efficiency and capacity for the client’s logistics operations.
