Situated in the Abbey Shopping Centre, the unit was taken as an empty shell to be developed into the Boots Hearing Care standard design store where the following works were undertaken:
KDM engaged with the Client, Architect & Centre Management to agree scope, location requirements to an agreed programme of works. The client requested amendments to the original specification for the provision of updated bespoke furniture, manufactured in our Dalgety Bay facility, as well as new Experience room requirements which included a single acoustic glazing panel (2mts. x 2.7 mts.), the first of its type in the UK estate.
A customer friendly, stylish and modern store designed to enable audiologists to provide their services with knowledge and expertise in a setting designed with the local community in mind.
Working with KDM has been an absolute pleasure on this project. I was initially impressed that they joined us at the launch of one of our World of Hearing branches earlier in the year to understand the look and feel of the concept and ensure they had our detailed requirements in mind at all times. This translated into a very high quality and professional delivery on time, in full and on budget in Newtownabbey, the result being one of the best new World of Hearing branches we have had the privilege to open. Their attention to detail was excellent, quality of workmanship high, and they were a pleasure to deal with from start to finish. We look forward to working with KDM again in the future!
