In a world where workplace safety is paramount, businesses are constantly seeking ways to ensure their employees work in environments that prioritise their health and well-being. At KDM Group, we recognise the significance of a safe working environment, not only for compliance but also for the overall morale and productivity of our workforce. That's why we recently invested in the ISO 45001 Internal Auditor course for some of our employees.
ISO 45001 is an international standard that specifies requirements for an occupational health and safety (OH&S) management system. It provides a framework for organisations to identify and control health and safety risks, reduce workplace accidents and illnesses, and continually improve their OH&S performance. By undertaking the ISO 45001 Internal Auditor course, our employees gained valuable insights into implementing, maintaining, and auditing an OH&S management system based on this standard.
Our employees learned about the fundamental principles of occupational health and safety management, including risk assessment, hazard identification, legal compliance, and emergency preparedness. Moreover, they gained practical skills in auditing techniques, enabling them to effectively assess the effectiveness of our OH&S management system and identify areas for improvement.
Equipping our employees with the knowledge and skills to identify and mitigate risks, not only safeguards the well-being of our employees but also minimises disruptions to our operations and protects our bottom line. It also demonstrates our commitment to ensuring the health and safety of our workforce and those affected by our operations.
Moving forward, we will continually improve our approach to occupational health and safety as the well-being & safety of our employees will always be our top priority.
