Development of the site for storage of operational vehicles, associated parking, guard-hut, welfare block, landscaping, and associated infrastructure to Support 52 number 22kw Electrical Vehicle charging from Day 1.
The works involved include bringing into the site a 1.4MVA 11kv new power supply involving the creation of all transformer bases, earth matting and lines. Full cut and fill of the site installing below-ground attenuation tanks, fuel interceptors and storm drains. New street lighting to the plot along with all associated security requirements.
Our engineers installed 52 Nos (22kw) electric chargers in co-operation with civil works teams & installed 32 Nos. sensor-controlled lighting columns. The lighting columns use the latest technology in sensor controls only activating when vehicles enter and are linked to a control system providing usage data.
The parking area was built on waste ground and our teams worked with the DNO (National Grid) to install an 11kV substation with a 1400kva transformer. A new LV Switch room was built to house all the LV switchgear required to supply all the new equipment.
We also installed utilities (power & water) for staff welfare facilities and the security cabin.
The completed project fulfilled our client’s requirements and goals for their continued drive to a more sustainable future with their EV transportation. The project was completed one day early with no variations and zero defects.
